How Do I Know What Model Boat I Have

Locate the company and contact them regarding the make and model of a boat. contact the boat company. contact the boat company via e-mail, fax, phone, or letter. give the company the hin and as much information as you have and they should be able to tell you the make and model of your boat.. By understanding hull identification numbers (hin) it is possible to determine in which country a boat was made, the manufacturer, the year it was built and the boat model year.. I have a 1991 freedom marine cuddy cabin, 19 ft, i/o mercuriser 4.3l v6, 2bbl carb. when i try to lookup the nada boat value there are several models in the 19 ft length and i dont know how to id the specific model number..

Can some one tell me how i can find out the model of my 1988 bayliner capri? i have a hull number and i know it's 19'. there is no other information on the title or registration. i need to know as i want to order a made to order boat cover. westland lists about 100 different capri models.. How do i identify which mercruiser eng/od model i have? i know it is a 6.2l mpi with a bravo-3 out drive. but i am trying to look up service procedures for servicing the out drive. i'm finding listings like mx6.2 black scorpion i/b, scorpion 6.2 v8 i/b, mx6.2 mpi horizon, horizon i/b, mx6.2 mpi v8, v8 i/b, etc. not sure what i have to proceed. What year is my outboard? to find an exact anwser to your question is important to know the brand of your outboard motor, horse power (h.p.) and ehether is a two stroke or four stroke. look for a little plate on the motor'' mounting bracket or also at the crankcase stamped (earlier outboard models).
