Boat Paint Orange Peel

What i do is paint the boat,,then on the last coat(the coat that should be clear) and in my 2 1/2 gallon pot i put (leave) about 2 inches of paint,, then i try adding 3-5 times as much clear, then shoot that.then on 2cnd and last "clear" coat, i add another 3 inch's of clear to the previous mix.. Orange peel is the opposite of flat..... it has to come from the gun fast and wet to be flat. spray a light mist coat of nasty electric orange or puke electric green chrylon paint on the boat and sand with either 220 or 150 grit till the nasty chrylon is completely gone. you have to get rid of all the jacked up orange peel.. Truth be told, this is not a replacement for a professional paint job. i am not a pro, and despite the excellent qualities of quantum99, there are a few small runs and areas of orange peel where i laid it on too thick — but you need your nose pressed to the boat in order to find them..

This video is about getting little or no orange peel not just a nice finish. you can get a nice finish with a cheap gun but to get no orange peel or very little you need a good gun proper settings.. We've managed a good orange peel effect as i don't like too shiny on a boat. to avoid orange peel it's best to thin the paint if using a roller and lay off with a quality brush quickly within a minuet. sometimes it's the primer that contains the orange peel as it's not easily noticed being a matt finish.. This time, we've done a step-by-step video guiding you through how we remove orange peel here in osren without sanding. here are some of the tips to take note! tip 1:.
